Car Carpet Cleaning London
Carpet cleaning inside a car is a different job from the service in a house. Footwells are shallow, awkwardly shaped and sit directly under the pedals, where grit, road salt, sand and spilled drinks collect all year.
London driving makes it worse: wet pavements in winter, dust in summer, and school-run crumbs in between.
On Valetly, this appointment is booked as part of an interior appointment rather than as a standalone visit, so the valet has the time to lift the mats out, work the carpet underneath, and treat the boot as well as the cabin.
What gets cleaned
- Front and rear footwells — including the edges and the seam where carpet meets sill plates.
- Removable mats — taken out, cleaned separately and refitted at the end so they do not trap damp underneath.
- Under the seats — the area most owners never reach, where hair, coins, wrappers and gravel accumulate.
- Boot carpet and boot lip — buggies, sports kit, shopping and dog crates all leave their mark here.
- Plastic sill trims and kick panels — cleaned at the same time so the finish looks consistent.
What cannot be promised is a guaranteed full recovery of a carpet that has been soaked and left, dyed by a spilled drink or damaged by bleach. Most carpets improve substantially; be candid in the booking notes so the valet arrives expecting the worst areas.
Which package covers carpet cleaning
The Interior Revival is the interior-focused appointment: carpets, mats, footwells, seats, plastics and interior glass. The Showroom Valet adds a full exterior in the same visit.
The Concours Detail is the longest appointment, for cars that have been used hard for years or are being prepared for sale.

Wet carpets, damp and smells
A carpet that stays damp is what causes the musty smell drivers describe as the car "smelling old".
If your footwells are wet from a leak, a window left open or a spilled bottle, say so at booking: the appointment is planned differently, and there is no point cleaning a carpet that is still being fed water by a blocked drain or a failing seal.
Odour treatment can be added, and heavy cases are better matched to a longer package. Mats come out for the duration of the job so both the mat and the carpet under it can dry properly before refitting.
Booking, access and London coverage
The car needs to stay parked for the whole slot, and the valet needs to open the doors and boot fully, so a driveway, allocated bay, permit street or office car park all work. Underground car parks are fine where the building allows on-site cleaning.

How much does the visit cost in London?
The service is part of an interior appointment, which starts at £119 and is banded by vehicle size. Longer packages that also cover the exterior run up to £269, and the exact price is shown before you pay.
Do you clean car mats as well as the carpet?
Yes. Removable mats are taken out and cleaned separately from the carpet underneath, then refitted at the end of the appointment so nothing is left damp between the two.
Can you clean the boot carpet?
Yes — the boot floor, boot lip and side trims are included in the interior appointments. Empty the boot before the valet arrives so the whole area can be reached.
Will old stains come out of the carpet?
Most marks improve substantially. Dye transfer, bleach damage and long-standing spills may not lift completely, so describe the worst areas in your booking notes and consider a longer package.
My footwells are wet and the car smells — can you help?
Tell us at booking. A carpet that is still getting wet from a leak or blocked drain needs that fixed first, otherwise the smell returns. Odour treatment can be added and heavier cases suit a longer appointment.
How long does the appointment take?
The interior appointment is scheduled at 75 minutes, the full inside-and-out valet at 150 minutes and the most detailed package at 210 minutes. Plan for the car to stay parked for the whole slot.
Is there a car vacuum near me, or somewhere to hoover my car?
Instead of finding a vacuum bay, the cleaner brings the machine to you. Car hoovering — footwells, seats, boot and mats — is part of every interior appointment, done at the address where the car is parked.
