A carpet that stays damp is what causes the musty smell drivers describe as the car "smelling old". If your footwells are wet from a leak, a window left open or a spilled bottle, say so at booking: the appointment is planned differently, and there is no point cleaning a carpet that is still being fed water by a blocked drain or a failing seal.

Odour treatment can be added, and heavy cases are better matched to a longer package. Mats come out for the duration of the job so both the mat and the carpet under it can dry properly before refitting.

The car needs to stay parked for the whole slot, and the valet needs to open the doors and boot fully, so a driveway, allocated bay, permit street or office car park all work — underground car parks are fine where the building allows on-site cleaning.
