1. Who we are

Valetly Ltd (company number 17255496), a private company limited by shares registered in England and Wales and trading as “Valetly”, is the data controller for the personal data we collect when you use our website and services. For data-protection enquiries, contact contact@valetly.uk.

2. Data we collect

  • Account: name, email, phone, password hash.
  • Bookings: address, postcode, vehicle details, slot, preferences, notes.
  • Payments: handled by Stripe — we never see your full card number.
  • Photos: before/after job photos uploaded by car wash pros are personal data when your vehicle is identifiable.
  • Location: wash live-location data during Collect & Clean (broadcast to the assigned customer only).
  • Technical: cookies, device, IP, basic analytics.

3. Lawful bases (UK GDPR Art. 6)

  • Contract — to provide the booking and the service.
  • Legal obligation — accounting, tax, fraud prevention.
  • Legitimate interests — service improvement, security, basic analytics.
  • Consent — marketing emails/SMS, non-essential cookies.

4. Processors

We share data with the following processors strictly to deliver the service: Supabase (database and storage), Stripe (payments), Resend (email), Twilio (SMS), postcodes.io (postcode lookup) and OpenStreetMap tile providers (maps).

5. Retention

Booking records: 7 years (UK accounting). Job photos: 24 months. Marketing data: until you withdraw consent. Inactive accounts deleted on request.

6. Your rights

You have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or port your data, and to object to processing. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner (ico.org.uk).

7. International transfers

Some processors store data in the EU, UK or US. Where data leaves the UK, we rely on adequacy decisions or Standard Contractual Clauses.
